Storm of Tears 
 
 
staring up at stormy clouds 
raindrops splash into my eyes. 
water trickles down my face 
merging with violet streams of blood 
gushing from my grief-torn heart. 
 
disjointed thunder is my heartbeat 
gusts of wind my ragged breath 
rain is my infinite sorrow 
this storm will never end. 
 
a bleak landscape of jagged lightning 
the haunted dwelling place of my soul 
here i wander without direction 
no place left for me to go.
